If you’re joining UCL this year then you’re in for a treat as we’re taking things to new levels with our best Welcome Week line-up ever. Your welcome experience will start at London’s most iconic club, Ministry of Sound and with four rooms of banging house, dance and techno music there’s arguably no better place on earth to hear the world’s greatest DJs play the world’s best music. We’ll be stopping at some HUGE venues along the way, the best the capital has to offer, before ending the week where we started.

Start at Ministry, keep the pace up all week, and end at Ministry of Sound again for the BIGGEST closing party.

These headline events are your ticket to the very best of the city’s club scene, featuring top-tier venues, immersive production, and incredible DJ lineups. We’ve teamed up with nightlife pros Milkshake, whose years of experience ensure our Freshers’ events are among the best in London – year after year. Sunday 27th September: Move in Fiesta @ Ministry of Sound

Start your Welcome Week off the right way at Ministry of Sound. London’s biggest and most famous nightclub is a legendary nightspot and we will welcome you in a truly epic way with great DJ’s, visuals, FX production and of course the UK’s loudest sound-system. Expect to experience one of the best clubbing experiences London has to offer.

Monday 28th September: Beach Party @ Scala

On your first day in London we’re taking you back to those summer vibes with a huge beach party at one of London’s biggest and best night spots, Scala in Kings Cross! Not only is the legendary SCALA the venue of choice for this Monday night party, but it’s also the venue TEAM UCL visit every Wednesday of term for Sports Night, the capitals biggest and longest running team clubbing tradition. The event will feature a special guest DJ, pool inflatables, vibey beach decor and much more across the 3 spaces of this super club! Check out previous photos of the event here.

Tuesday 29th September: The Freshers Rave @ fabric

This is going to be a clubbing experience like no other and certainly not one to sleep on as we once again taking over a world top-ranked club to produce a night to remember. Set to be the most high energy night in your social calendar, featuring stunning audiovisual productions, alongside 7 DJ’s playing everything from house, garage, rap & electro to hip-hop, grime and D&B, featuring huge global live acts & DJ’s to be announced. Thursday 1st October: The Freshers Glow Rave @ EGG LDN

This year we’re once again returning to one of the capitals biggest clubs – EGG! After the sell out party in 2024 & 2025, we taking over this 5 room nightlife space for another session and this time around we’re bringing you our BIGGEST UV PARTY IN THE CITY!

Sunday 4th October: UCL Freshers Ball @ Electric Ballroom

For the penultimate night of the welcome period, we’re heading to the iconic Electric Ballroom in Camden. Expect a packed dance floor, headline DJs spinning the biggest house, dance, hip-hop and commercial anthems, and an atmosphere you’ll be talking about long after welcome is over!

Whether you’re meeting your new flatmates, course mates or making friends from across UCL, this is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the start of university life in one of London’s most legendary live music venues.

Monday 5th October: The Official Closing Party @ Ministry of Sound

Held at one of the worlds best clubs! After what’s looking like the biggest UCL Freshers yet, we bring it back to where it all began for the Official Closing Party at Ministry of Sound. Once again putting the UK’s biggest and best sound system to great effect, we couldn’t think of a better nightclub to bring the 2026 welcome week full circle, closing with the ultimate clubbing experience!
Last year we held our closing session at Ministry of Sound and tickets sold out! So be sure to book in advance this year!

Please note: The Students’ Union website & this fatsoma page is the only place that official Freshers’ Nightlife 2026 wristbands will be available from. Any wristbands on sale elsewhere are not official and will not give you access to any official Students Union UCL Freshers 2025

Each venue does their own security check and will turn away anyone without ID, regardless of how old you look. DO NOT forget your ID or Student ID (Student ID will not do as it does not show your date of birth) Dress codes vary from event to event so be sure to check out all the info before you attend!

Tickets are non-refundable and management reserves the right of admission, unless the event is canceled then you will receive a full refund.

🔵 WHEN WILL I GET MY WRISTBAND?

When you make your purchase, you’ll be sent an email confirmation with a ticket and order number.

Collection will be on campus and more information will be added here closer to September, as well as sent to you directly.

WRISTBANDS CANNOT BE COLLECTED AT THE VENUE, THEY MUST BE COLLECTED FROM A RECEPTION IN ADVANCE.

Yes! Over the welcome period UCL hosts many events across both the University campus and the city itself. From boat parties, to trips out of town there is so much to do and explore!
